McLaren celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first achievement of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Achievement achieved with the incomparable F1 GTR, which won precisely in 1995 the 24 hours of Le Mans. To mark the passing of this quarter century, the luxury car brand will build 50 copies of this magnificent super car with the name 720S Le Mans (16 of which will be for sale in Europe).
Interested buyers will have two colors available (McLaren Orange or Sarthe Gray). This super car has some interesting features, such as the LM wheels with 5-spoke custom with a pattern that matches the design used in the race-winning F1 GTR. It also has carbon fiber front fenders, a shell on the roof, and several logos referring to the “McLaren 25 Anniversary Le Mans” anniversary.
The chassis number of each of these 720S Le Mans will start with the number "298" in reference to the number of laps covered by the winner of the F1 GTR race. Inside there are sport seats with carbon fiber and a time marker on the steering wheel, with the same colors used on the outside (gray and orange).
Its powerful 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with 720 horsepower, allows accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds capable of reaching a top speed of 341 km / h. with rear-wheel drive only, with 7-speed dual transmission.
For those interested in this fantastic car McLaren is already accepting orders for the price of 254,500 pounds sterling (about 281 thousand euros). The first units are expected to be delivered in September.
