Lamborghini introduced the latest model, its first and powerful plug-in hybrid series production, the Lamborghini Revuelto. This supercar starts a new cycle in the world of sports vehicles, as the Revuelto is the most advanced and fastest car on the market. The 1,001 hp Lamborghini hybrid is ready to take the driving experience to a higher level where speed and emotion will be undeniable.
It features a 6.5 V12, completely restructured to become the most powerful V12 in the history of the brand, with 825 hp and 725 Nm that will make a maximum combined peak of 1001 horsepower. There are two electric motors on the front axle, which allow for torque vectoring in both electric braking and regenerative braking. A third engine is integrated into the gearbox, which is new, with eight relations and double clutch, now installed transversely. A small battery with 3.8 kWh and rechargeable at 7 kW in AC, is fitted between the seats and can produce a peak current flow of 187 horsepower.
As the brand's first plug-in hybrid (PHEV), it combines a gasoline main engine with electric units not only to increase power, but also aims to surpass or equal the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, as well as to ensure the ability to travel a certain distance in 100% electric mode. With all that power at their disposal, the lucky drivers of this supercar will be able to go from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
As for the design, the Revuelto features a new Lamborghini design language characterized by bold angles and repeating Y-shaped elements. Inspired by modern aerospace design, the car's exterior evokes the feel of a stealthy fighter, while also providing homage to classic Lamborghini elements such as scissor doors and aggressive lines.
The Revuelto is not only futuristic, it is also functional, as in addition to having a more attractive and aerodynamically refined bodywork, the Revuelto enjoys a more generous cabin. It offers the option of choosing between 13 driving modes, one of which is 100% electric. It will have new mechanisms such as side wings and active rear wing work together to increase the car's efficiency and downforce. The fact that it only weighs 1772 kg also helps with its acceleration capability.
The Revuelto is scheduled to go on sale as part of Lamborghini's upcoming 2024 model year lineup. It remains to be seen when exactly that will happen or how much the supercar will cost. Since the CEO of Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann, has already advanced that there was already a two-year waiting list for deliveries.
