The prestigious Italian watch brand Panerai founded in 1860 by Giovanni Panerai in Florence. He presented his collection for 2019 at the International Salon of High Watchmaking in Geneva.
This collection includes six new models. We start with two Panerai Submersible stainless steel models with a 42 mm diameter case, sporty and contemporary in appearance. The BMG-TECH Submersible in brushed steel, box of 47 mm in diameter and made in BMG-TECH. The Submersible Carbotech are professional dip watches in carbotech, a lightweight material based on carbon fiber, tough and with excellent mechanical properties. Then we have a model limited to only 15 units which is the Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Edition, inspired by the French diving champion Guillaume Néry. It is a watch in which the dial is readable under all light conditions even in the dark.
The Panerai Submersible Marina Militare Carbotech is an edition of 33 units, is a professional underwater watch, dedicated to the historical association between Panerai and the Italian navy. Finally, with just 19 copies we have the Panerai Submersible Mike Horn Edition, inspired by one of the most extraordinary living explorers, and ambassador of Panerai for over 15 years Mike Horn. Made think of the protection of the planet, it was built in Eco-Titanium, first introduced in the world of high watchmaking by Panerai, and is obtained from recycled titanium. During the show it was also announced the partnership with Luna Rossa Challenge. Panerai will create a series of watches inspired directly by the technologies and materials used in the America's Cup. The first watch will be the Submersible Luna Rossa. It has the peculiarity of having fragments of Luna Rossa candles on the dial. The indications on the display are clearly visible even under water.
