Super sports brand Koenigsegg announced the start of production of its new sports hyper Jesko with the unveiling of the pre-production prototype. After its original debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, its first prototype now appears at Bright Orange.
Production of 125 units of the Jesko and Jesko Absolut is planned in Ängelholm, Sweden. The first deliveries to customers will begin in the first half of 2022.
The Jesko has an exuberant and pleasantly aggressive appearance, muitaswith many aerodynamic concerns, indispensable for the objective they aim for in claiming a top speed in excess of 500 km/h. It is equipped with a 5.0 V8 biturbo engine by Koenigsegg. With regular gasoline, this machine can produce 1280 hp, but as soon as it burns E85, the power rises to 1600 hp, while the torque rises to 1500 Nm.
The Bright Orange painting, a CCR memorabilia, is combined with silver and carbon fiber accents for the exterior. Inside, the freshness continues, with carbon fiber details that contrast with the bright orange color. The digital cockpit includes SmartCluster and SmartCenter screens, while the steering wheel has integrated touch buttons.
CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg said, “We are very excited to introduce this pre-series Jesko in conjunction with the start of production on 125 cars from Jesko and Jesko Absolut customers. As part of our gradual expansion, Jesko pre-assembly starts at an extended 10,000 square meter facility”.
Test driver Markus Lundh said it's very natural to drive with continuous changes and added: “For a car of its size and power, it's very agile in the way it reacts to steering and doesn't spin even with sudden movements at full throttle”.
The value of the Jesko and the Jesko Absolut version will be $442.145. We can conclude, the talents of this car justify its price, and it is certainly accessible only to a few.
