Maserati has revealed the first images of the exterior design of the petrol version of the new Maserati GranTurismo that will be launched in 2023. It replaces the first GranTurismo that ended production in 2019, this new Maserati coupé will arrive in 2023. Interested parties will be able to choose between petrol or electric.

In the gasoline version, the Nettuno V6 engine from Maserati is used, the same as the MC20, although it can be said that the Nettuno of the GT is a detuned version of the V6 and probably closer to the 390kW and 620Nm outputs of the Grecale SUV.

Its design has undergone some evolution, but it maintains the similarities with the MC20 supercar and the Grecale SUV. The similarities are notable in the sharp front, the long hood and the very tapered silhouette. The Maserati GranTurismo's extensive grille is flanked by two large air intakes for engine cooling, the LED headlamps offer a daylight signature similar to the MC20.
The three traditional Maserati air vents behind each front wheel, as well as a sleek side profile, are retained, leading to a sportier rear design. It has quad exhaust tips mounted on the outer edges of the rear bumper, and slimmer LED taillights also accentuate the rear design.

It features a prominent “75” on the rear side windows that recalls the launch of the first GranTurismo, 75 years ago, in a post-World War II phase, which marks the rebirth of the Italian economy.

The new GranTurismo will likely be the last Maserati coupe to be launched with a gasoline engine, as the Italian brand plans to sell only electric cars by 2030, however all models will feature an electric variant by 2025.
