In view of the new reality in which we live, the format of car auctions had to be changed from face-to-face to online. This fact did not alter the desire of the great collectors to acquire their luxurious dream classics. And in this case we are talking about the 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose that reached the new record for the most expensive classic car sold online.
Almost all of the classic Ferrari models have astronomical values, which have increased over the years, which is why they are so desired by collectors. This is the case of this 275 GTB Long Nose from 1966, which reached US $ 3.08 million (about 2.6 million euros) last August 7th in the virtual auction of the auctioneer Gooding & Company. Interestingly this record belonged to another Ferrari the 2003 Enzo sold for 2.64 million dollars (approximately 2.5 million euros) about three months ago.

There are some factors that justify the value of this magnificent Ferrari, in addition to being kept in perfect condition for more than five decades. The most important factor will be the fact that it is one of only 40 specimens, out of a total of 206 Long Nose units, which is equipped with six high-performance carburetors at the factory, an option designed for competition. The painting in the color 'white sand beach' and the body of 'long nose' are another of its special characteristics that justify the values achieved.
This was just one of the classics that made the auctioneer Gooding & Company reach a total of almost 15 million dollars (about 12.56 million Euros) in the lots sold in this online auction.

Auctioneer President and CEO Gooding & Company David Gooding said of this classic; “I think this car is virus-proof in the sense that it is a really, really exceptional 275. It’s basically an all-original car with an original interior, a lot of original paint, and long-term ownership, It’s special with a pandemic or not.”
