About a year ago, the luxury hotel Corpo Santo was inaugurated, in the Largo with the same name, in the Cais do Sodré area, in Lisbon.
It is a typical Pombaline building restored with elegance and refinement to be a five star hotel in one of the most emblematic areas of the Portuguese capital and a few meters from the historical center.
In the short time since its opening it was already advised by the New York Times, which made to arouse the attentions of the North American tourism.
The Hotel consists of five floors, each of them with different themes linked to the Portuguese expansion. On the top floor are located the eight suites with a privileged view over the Tejo river.
On the first floor we can see part of the Fernandina Wall and what remains of the tower of João Bretão, as well as some artifacts that are believed to have been buried in the earthquake of 1755.
The Porter restaurant is part of the hotel, and its name originates from the of a type of English beer, that was produced in Largo de Corpo Santo in the 18th century. In addition to tasting a good meal, you can also taste the porter beer, which gave it the name, now handmade.
It is a magnificent space with history where you can enjoy five star services.
