The British luxury car brand Jaguar celebrates 70 years of the iconic classic car C Type. To this end, the special department Jaguar Classics of the luxury brand will produce eight copies of the C-Type that shone in competitions in the early 1950s.

After the construction of some Jaguar classics in the Continuation Series, the iconic C-Type winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1953 came (Jaguar also won in 1951 and 1952).

The company says that the model is made of an original C-Type, with the original engineering drawings and records from the 1950s, meaning that all the reliable details of 1953 will be kept accurately. Which means it will have an engine six-cylinder in-line 3.4 liters with triple Weber carburetors and 220 hp. The disc brakes are specially developed so that this model could overcome the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1953 (which it had already won in 1951). With this reinforcement, the C-Type became the first car to win the 24 hours at an average speed above 100 mph (160 km / h).

This continuation C-Type will be available in 12 exterior colors, with eight interior options. The brand installed a configurator to help potential owners decide what they want. It has an FIA approved harness retention system and rollover protection, among other things.

The price of this treasure has not yet been released, but it is likely that it will not be accessible to all budgets.
