Ferrari will build the third super sports model of the Icona series,(the previous models SP1 and SP2 released in 2018, where SP refers to the Special Projects division of the Italian company). It will appear under the name Daytona SP3 and only 599 will be built. The limited edition model pays homage to the brand's victory in the 1967 Daytona 24-hour race.

The Daytona SP3 is classic styling inspired by iconic race cars, but for road driving this pump has Ferrari's most powerful engine ever with highly refined aerodynamic elements. Ferrari claims to get from 0-100km/h in scant 2.85 seconds and from 0-200km/h in 7.4 seconds, its top speed will be 340km/h.

Highlights go to the engine code-named F140HC, which is the 6.5 liter V12 of the 812 Competizione, but fitted in a central rear position, accompanied by the revised version of the seven-speed automatic transmission with improved intake and exhaust. The Daytona SP3's 6.5 liter atmospheric V12 can achieve 840 horsepower and 697 Nm.

Spanning the 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloy wheels are Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires designed specifically for the Daytona SP3, optimized for wet and dry roads with Race and CT-Off modes. Brake discs measure 398 mm at the front and 380 mm at the rear.

It is so far considered Ferrari's most aerodynamically efficient car. As a road car, the competition details are still very visible in the two occupant cockpit/cockpit configurations.

All the commands necessary to control this machine are integrated into the steering wheel. 80% of the functions can even be entrusted to the car itself, through the Daytona's Human-Machine system. Driving information is displayed on the 16-inch screen on the dashboard.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 starts at €2.3 million ($3.1 million), but all 599 copies are already sold.
