Scotland's newest golf course, Dumbarnie Links has been nominated by The Scottish Golf Tourism Awards as Scotland's 'Best Golf Experience' and 'Best Golf Course'.
Dumbarnie Links is a true Premier Links course with a modern twist. The 18-hole course was founded, developed and designed by renowned architect Clive Clark.
The Scottish Golf Tourism Awards were held at Fairmont St. Andrews on 3 March and was part of the fifth Scottish Golf Tourism Week, organized by PSP Media Group and supported by VisitScotland and Scottish Enterprise.
The Scottish Golf Tourism Awards are recognized as the best reflection of the best that Scotland has to offer. The Scottish Golf Tourism Awards are particularly coveted primarily by the way they are decided, as the votes are determined solely by the Scottish golfing public. Widely recognized as the sport's most knowledgeable audience, they decide the winners.
David Scott general manager of Dumbarnie Links said at the ceremony: “Receiving this kind of recognition so early in our existence and with so many great heavyweights for the competition is remarkable. I am absolutely delighted, especially by my team, who work so hard, and by our designer and developer, Clive Clark. Clive's vision was to create a golf course to entertain golfers. He wanted it to be fun. That was his main premise. So many people have told us that he was successful, but this award confirms that. I'm absolutely thrilled".
