Cadillac launches fully autonomous supercar

Cadillac is a division of the American manufacturer General Motors Company (GM) that designs and builds luxury vehicles. Cadillac's new InnerSpace prototype is the epitome of luxury and a reimagined vision of the future of the luxury automotive industry.

The brand did not disclose many details, which is normal to happen in the presentation of a model, the brand says that the interface includes artificial intelligence and biometric reading. The vehicle has full driving autonomy, which means that the two occupants will be able to explore the entire landscape that surrounds them during travel, and in addition, inside the vehicle, they can watch movies shown through a large SMD LED screen.

The elegant design of the Cadillac InnerSpace gives this coupé the look of a spaceship. This model has a closed and illuminated grille on the front, flanked by vertical headlights. The rear is wedge-shaped without a window, the panoramic roof opens and the seats swivel outward when the doors are opened for easy entry and exit. Also noteworthy are the digital side mirrors and the huge aerodynamic rims, reinforcing a visual with a lot of impact.

The tires were developed by Goodyear especially for the prototype, feature SoundComfort technology designed to help attenuate the resonance of sound waves inside the tire for a silent ride, made from soy oil and rice husk silica that replace the petroleum-based oil.

In its magnificent and spacious interior, the InnerSpace has seats with footrests, in the best style of a lounge, which is not surprising since, being a fully autonomous car, it aims to provide the greatest and most luxurious comfort to the occupants.

With the Ultium Platform's wireless battery management system, it allowed designers to maximize space and reduce ground clearance, providing an extremely low, sports car-like seating position.

What was not said by the brand was what the InnerSpace's electric motorization will be, as well as its power and autonomy. Of course, it's still just a model of what could be the future automobile for Cadillac, but as Bryan Nesbitt, director of General Motors' design division, points out. The prototypes of the Halo line are "visions for the next decade, showing the possibilities for autonomous driving technology addressed".
