The DLBA naval architecture firm in Virginia, USA, is developing a new 58 meter luxury yacht that will be named Tempo.
In the construction of this luxury yacht, the concepts of artificial intelligence (AI) will be used in all the systems of the vessel, to become a successful example of an autonomous yacht.
According to the specialists in the naval architecture office, there are three main areas in which autonomous technology can be developed on board, namely navigation, health monitoring of equipment and mechanical and electrical systems. This system will be able to integrate cybersecurity and monitor systems and auxiliary equipment on board.
Using AI concepts in mechanical and electrical systems, you will ensure that the vessel is operating at peak performance. Tasks such as starting or stopping pumps and resolving system failures would be performed automatically.
The office describes the project as “a study on all vessel systems where artificial intelligence can be used to enhance the owner’s experience on board.” And added that “the vision is to offer the best autonomous vessels in the class as the leader in boat design and autonomy integrator ".
It will be a luxury yacht that will live up to the name “Tempo” because it is estimated that it will undoubtedly be a vessel of the new times.
