One of the most iconic classic cars in the history of the luxury car brand Bentley, the 1929 Blower will be reborn. 90 years after the originals were built, the luxury brand will build 12 units under the name “Series Blower Continuation”. They are handcrafted by a team of specialists from Bentley's car and bespoke parts division, Mulliner.

In the 1920s only four were built to compete. Everyone made history on the tracks in Europe, but the most famous car was Team Tim No. 2, by driver Sir Tim Birkin, who raced at Le Mans and played a key role in the 1930 Bentley Speed Six victory. This will be the car which will serve as an example for the construction of these 12 units of the Blower Continuation Series, one for each race that in the four original Blower competed.

Blower Continuation will be built using a combination of the craftsmanship of previous generations and the latest digital technology. With a forecast of two years of meticulous work until these 12 gems are ready to be enjoyed by their owners, who are already waiting for them, since they are all pre-booked. As for prices are not yet known.

This type of replicas is not always well received by owners of original classics. Some of the Bentley enthusiasts did not break the rule, and expressed their disagreement in a letter sent to Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark days after the announcement of the Blower Continuation edition. In response, the CEO said, "We know there is a demand for genuine recreations that can be used, appreciated and loved without risk for the award-winning originals." He also said that “they will be the same in mechanical terms as our original car, but they will not have the same color or the same graphics as the original, so they will be immediately recognizable. The original four cars are unique, extremely rare and very valuable and each has its incredible story. No new car or Bentley Blower replica will change that! ” And he added that the new Blowers "will not only be a tribute to our heritage, they will also be a celebration of the exceptional skills of our Mulliner artisans".
