It is called the Elkhart Collection and consists of no less than 240 cars, 30 motorcycle trucks and other luxury items and rare objects and goes up for auction. This collection was acquired over the years by businessman Najeeb Khan, who after being accused of fraud, sees his collection at auction.
The auction house RM Sotheby's has already carried out several private auctions, namely classic cars, but none with this wide range of vehicles, many of which are very expensive and very rare. The auction was rescheduled for the next 23 and 24 October.
RM Sotheby Gord Duff executive, in a press release stressed that “The quality of the cars and the way that the Elkhart Collection has been maintained and looked after is incredible,” he said that “The building that they’ve been housed in is much more than a storage facility and has been designed specifically for the care of collector cars. More than ever, it’s true to say that there is quite literally something for anyone in the collector car hobby within this group of cars, from microcars, to classics, ’50s and ’60s sports cars, the modern era, and beyond.” In terms of value, the collection boasts a number of cars that are sure to pique serious collectors’ interests."
