20 magnificent Ferraris go to auction

American collector Donald L. Weber's extraordinary Ferraris collection goes up for auction by Gooding & Company in Pebble Beach. These luxurious red rarities will be offered to a new set of discerning collectors on the 13th and 14th of August. From this awesome the horse cars collection some models are noteworthy.

 

1967 - Ferrari 275 GTB / 4

 

It was purchased new at the Maranello brand factory and was carefully protected for half a century. It's not just an incredibly rare berlinetta, but a classic car of incredible inherent quality restored by legendary experts. Expect it to reach between $ 2.75 and $ 3.5 million (€ 2.34 and € 2.97 million).


1992 - Ferrari F40 

 

Another highlight of the collection is the appetizing Ferrari F40, of the 213 models built this F40 is one of the 22 that were produced during the last year. The supercar has never changed hands before and is presented in perfect condition. It is estimated to range between $ 1.7 and $ 2.2 million (€ 1.4 and € 1.87 million).


1965 - Ferrari 275 GTS Convertible 

 

Donald L. Weber bought him in 1976 from Luigi Chinetti, with whom he was very friendly. In 1980 it underwent a comprehensive restoration, even 41 years later the work done on this 275 GTS is impressive. Its value is expected to be between $ 1.3 and $ 1.6 million (€ 1.10 and € 1.36 million).


1986 - Ferrari Testarossa 

 

This Testarossa was commissioned in 1986 especially by Donald L. Weber and is a rare example of the "Flying Mirror" model due to having a single mirror affixed to the middle of the column on the driver's side. Its value will be between $ 175,000 and $ 225,000 (€ 149,000 and € 191,000).


1984 - Ferrari 512 BBi Koenig Special 

 

It was purchased used by Donald L. Weber in January 1985 and over the 36 years it has been in very good condition. Its value will be between $ 250,000 and $ 350,000 (€ 212,000 and € 297,000).


1973 - Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 Daytona 


It was acquired in January 1981 by Donald L. Weber. As is typical of all their cars, this one was also poorly driven and superbly maintained for 40 years. Estimate will be between $ 550,000 and $ 650,000 (€ 467,000 and € 552,000).


1974 – Ferrari Dino 246-GTS  


Dino was the name given to this Ferrari in honor of Enzo Ferrari's son Alfredino. It was designed to meet Formula 2 regulations. The new Dino was an absolute success on the track. Its value will be between $ 350,000 and $ 400,000 (€ 297,000 and € 340,000).


1979 - Ferrari 512 BB 


This Ferrari 512 BB was ordered by Donald L. Weber directly from Maranello in Rosso Chiaro (Light Red) with Pella Nero interior (Black Leather) and red carpets. It was delivered in March 1979 in California where it remained with its sole owner. Estimated sales are between $ 250,000 and $ 300,000 (€ 212,000 and € 255,000).


1984 - Ferrari 512 BBI

 

It is one of approximately 144 copies produced, making it the rarest and most sought after of the fuel injected Berlinetta Boxers. Owned by Donald L. Weber for about 30 years, this car has been meticulously maintained and beautifully preserved. A value between $ 250,000 and $ 300,000 (€ 212,000 and € 255,000) is expected.
