Pininfarina is an Italian car body company with agreements with the most varied brands such as Ferrari, Maserati and many other luxury brands. At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Automobili Pininfarina presented its first car model under the name Battista, in honor of the founder of the carzzeria Pininfarina, Battista Farina.
The Pininfarina Battista is thus the first model of the brand of ultra luxury and high performance cars with electric transmission groups.
For the manufacture of its first luxury car, Automobili Pininfarina had a fantastic team, we would even say that it is the “automotive dream team”, formed by members who developed machines such as the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Mission E, Mercedes-AMG Project One , Bugatti Veyron and Chiron, Ferrari Sergio, Pagani Zonda and the McLaren P1.
The electrical part was made by Rimac specialists (part of which was purchased by Porsche).
Its look follows the Pininfarina lines in its design, although Battista presents less visual aggressiveness, more and more extreme, that we can find in so many other super sports, it has cleaner and more elegant volumes and surfaces. It seeks to be a new image of a new type of high performance car, which uses electrons and not hydrocarbons.
With an impressive 1900 horsepower and 2300 Nm of torque, it makes it the most powerful Italian road car ever!
Its magnificent performance will be achieved through four electric motors, with four-wheel drive, the Battista will take less than 2 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h and around 12 seconds to reach… 300 km / h, and reach a maximum speed of 350 km / h.
To stop this electrifying missile, the Battista comes equipped with massive 390 mm carbon-ceramic brake discs both at the rear and at the front.
Only 150 copies will be built, with a price set at 2 million euros and the delivery of these magnificent jewelery with wheels should start in late 2020.
