10 most expensive Jewelry

In the first place in luxury jewelry, we found the magnificent Hope Diamond. This diamond was found in India about 370 years ago, it was sold to King Louis XIV of France in 1668. It was stolen about a hundred years later and it reappeared in London remodeled as we know it in the this days, it was taken to New York to be cleaned and restored. In 1958 it was donated to the Washington Museum of Natural History, where it's still until today. This luxury jewel has an estimated value of 194 million Euros.

In 2nd place is the Pink Diamond, it is a 24.78 carat diamond, embedded in a ring and was last seen on the market about 60 years ago. However, it is known that the valuable piece was sold for 36 million Euros at an auction in Geneva in November 2010.

The 3rd place is occupied by the Wittelsbach Diamond, this blue-gray diamond that dates back to the 17th century, offered by King Philip V of Spain in 1664 to his daughter, Infanta Margarita Teresa as part of her dowry, it is a rare diamond of 35, 5 carats. It was sold at the Christie's auction house in 2008 for the price of 19 million Euros.

In 4th place follows The Perfect Pink of 14.23 carats, and according to auctioneer Christie's in almost 250 years of history of jewelry auctions, only 18 intense pink diamonds with more than 10 carats were put up for sale. This beautiful diamond was estimated at a value of 15 million Euros, but was sold in 2010 by an anonymous buyer in Hong Kong for 18 million Euros.

Next is the 5th place, the magnificent Bulgari is a ring made with two colored diamonds, the Bulgari dates from the early 70s and is 9.72 carats. It was acquired by an Asian collector in 2010 at an auction in New York for 11 million Euros.

The panther bracelet appears in 6th place, was manufactured in 1952 and used only once by the Duchess of Windsor Wallis Simpson, whose love affair with King Edward 8th led to her abdication in 1936 in the United Kingdom. This extraordinary piece was sold in 2010 in London at a price of 9.5 million Euros. Rumors suggest that it would have been bought by the singer Madona but this was never confirmed.

The 7th place is occupied by the diamond and emerald tiara of princess Katharina Henckel Von Donnersmarck, it was elaborated around the year 1900, it is formed by a diamond crown and its central base is a line of 11 emeralds which total about 500 carats. The estimated value was around 7.7 million Euros, but was sold for 9 million Euros at the auction house Sotheby's, in Switzerland, in 2011.

In 8th place is Love At First Sight, it is a heart-shaped diamond with 56.15 carats. It was purchased in Geneva, Switzerland, for 8.5 million Euros, and is now part of the British Crown collection.

It follows in 9th place the Pink Diamond of 5 carats, this specimen was obtained in South Africa, according to the experts these pink diamonds come from the exposure to the heat and the pressure of the time unlike the other colored diamonds. It was acquired for 9 million Euros in Hong Kong in 2009.

And last on this list but no less impressive is the Empress Eugenie brooch. This beautiful example of diamonds was made by the artist François Kramer in 1855, for the empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon 3rd. It was acquired by the Louvre Museum for 8 million Euros in 2008. The purchase was made through a closed dispute by Christie's and was aimed at taking the piece back to France.
